Mathematics - AP Calculus through Differential Equations

My favorite part of working as a math TA has always been interacting with my students, explaining concepts in different ways so that they make sense. I have worked with classes including Calculus 1, Calculus 2, and Differential Equations at Duke University for the past six semesters, where I graduated with distinction in Mathematics. I have also privately tutored for Calculus (AP and college classes), Linear Algebra, and Differential Equations. As a TA where I lead discussion sessions, t... Read more

I have taught and tutored undergraduate and graduate students at many universities around the world. I like to work with students interested in learning. I can teach a... Read more

Spanish/English as a Second Language, National Board Certified

Thanks for taking time to read my profile! I have been teaching a combination of Spanish and ESL(English as a Second Language) for 12 years. I am a National Board Certified Teacher with 7 years of experience teaching high school Spanish (levels I-IV) and 5 years of teaching ESL. Spanish/Science Tutor, Passionate About Your Success!

Greetings! My name is Aaron, and I am a recent college graduate planning to enter professional school in 2014. While in undergrad, I volunteered for 4 years as a tutor in both Spanish and Chemistry, and I absolutely loved it! Each semester I spent 70 + hours working one-on- one with students to raise their confidence (and letter grades) in subjects that were previo... Read more

Alan

Ivy League PhD

I have a BS in "Computer Software" (meaning programming rather than hardware design). Most of my work for the BS was actually done at the Graduate level, which makes me eligible to teach CompSci at the college level according to most accrediting organizations. I have, in fact done so at five different colleges. Pascal was the language of choice when I was learning to program, so I had to learn it, and used it for many years until I switched to C++ and Java. It is a much better language than C for basic programming training, but lacks a standardized object oriented implementation. Read more

Postdoctoral Research Fellow, UNC at Chapel Hill, SPSS Tutoring.

I am a health sciences scholar with a Master of Science degree and have engaged in teaching students for more than 5 years. I would teach them health as well as SPSS statistical data analysis software. Being in academia at the university level, I believe, makes a person better entitled to engage in educational activities and teaching given the experience already taken, the academic and educational background, and the ability and experience in reaching out to students and being able to communi...
