Education and certificates:I have a juris doctorate degree in law (not an attorney) and undergraduate double major in history and behavioral science, Along with a Substitute Teaching certificate K-12 since 1997 and substituting in a variety of schools in Maricopa County, AZ, I have tutored after-school students in elementary and high schools in reading and writing. As a commercial pilot and certified flight instructor, I also hold advanced ground instructor certificates. Lastly, I am a notary, performing a variety of signing services since 2009.
Social Sciences: As one with 20 years in research and technical writing, I can tutor in law, history, all social sciences, English, reading, and writing. A few experiences to note: For the last ten years, I had been a Small Claims Hearing Officer Volunteer part-time for the Maricopa County Justice Courts. Hearing officers hear and adjudicate a variety of disputes regarding contracts, real estate, and injuries (tort claims) below $2500. My extensive multi-cultural background includes working with Arizona Indian Tribes as a Juvenile Justice Administrator for the Navajo Nation and Prosecutor for the Pascua Yaqui Tribe. As a Commissioner for the Arizona Indian Affairs Commission, I became familiar with the administrative functions of government, liaisoning between tribes and state government, and setting of policy direction. In
