I have taught physics and math for 21 years as a certified teacher in Pennsylvania. I have been awarded the Teacher Impact award by WGAL TV-8. I have previous practical experience working in the field of engineering. I am a swimming and water polo coach for age-group/high school teams.

I have four children (2 boys, 2 girls), with the youngest one in college. I am comfortable teaching all ranges of ages and abilities. I find that students are usually just stumbling over an initial 'speed bump' that I work to help them get over. Once a problem gets off to a good start, the student can experience the success of correctly completed and understood assignments. I look to be a guide first. Understanding of the method to a problem's solution is the key.

Study Skills

I have 10 years of teaching 9th-12th grade in math and science. I regularly helped students after school. Often they could not get over a simple 'speed bump' that I could help them see how their notes or book had the key. I encourage students to keep good summary sheets prior to a test. These combine to study for a final. And these are of great use in the 'next class' for which their current class is a prerequisite.

Very Knowledgeable

Sean is very knowledgeable and explains the formulas so they are easy to understand and grasp. I am an older student, and have been away from algebra for a long time, but he is patient and takes his time. My grades have improved and I have received 100's on my last two exams.

Excellent tutor

Sean is an excellent tutor. He is able to explain complex subjects in an easily comprehendible manner. He is also so accommodating to his students, always making himself accessible even at the last minute. We strongly recommend Sean as a tutor, giving him the highest ranking possible!

Knowledgeable, Patient, and Excellent Teacher!

Sean covered most of the works expected, and done well. It was very helpful and came up with good results. My daughter feels that he is one of the most helpful teachers ever met in this site. He is EXCELLENT !!!

Kemmy, 2 lessons with Sean

Quick, efficient and super knowledgeable

Sean focuses straight away on what you need help on. He's really knowledgeable and can figure the different steps need to solve any physics related problem. We did a bunch of kinematic problems. And I didn't even know where to begin. But as Sean started doing them it jogged my memory and I was able to understand them easily as well as their process.

Wendy, 1 lesson with Sean

Very knowledgable

Sean was able to immediately help me with my astronomy class by teaching me fundamental principles and accompanying equations. He was able to meet with me on short notice, and dedicate the time I needed to understand everything. I'm much more confident in my class after only one session with him.

Felipe, 9 lessons with Sean

awesome

He helps answer your questions and will go in depth about the subject based off what the problem is asking.

Riley, 4 lessons with Sean

Excellen

Sean does a amazing job breaking down very complex topics. He is extremely knowledgeable and gives the needed time to explain things. I strongly recommend him.

Our Physics Lifeline!

Sean is our first tutor, and we didn't know what to expect. He immediately established a warm rapport with our 17-year-old son, and (in just two sessions) caught him up on a month's worth of AP C Physics. Our son says Sean makes things easy to understand, and uses an overhead camera to capture everything he's writing on paper. I LOVE the reports Sean sends us after each session, including the problems they worked on, and the step-by-step solutions. We highly recommend Sean, and wish we'd discovered him back in September!!!

Works really well with my son

Sean is great at dissecting Physics topics into manageable chunks for my son, and he really helps my son focus and get organized. Sean helps him prioritize upcoming work and prepare for tests and maximizes the time allotted for each lesson.

Great Explainer

Explains problems very well, I was able to understand my physics easily. Also very patient, we ran into some technical difficulties but still stuck through it.
