Dear Prospective Students,

Welcome to my page! I believe learning and education is a lifelong process and that we should learn and incorporate something new into our minds everyday on our journeys. I specialize in Math, English & English Composition, Spanish (Including Conversational Spanish for Adults) , and GED Test Preparation. I have worked with students of all ages including elementary and adults. I have also worked extensively with LD Students on the Spectrum, ADD/ADHD, ODD, and with Anxiety and Depression. These disorders do not need to hinder you from achieving your goals!!
After doing some investigation into your needs and what your roadblocks are, we can then start with your materials, or mine, to make sure you slowly understand how to reproduce correct answers. Repetition when used correctly is certainly "the mother of all skills". Patience and kindness also are key and paramount to you being successful. I do hope you look into me further and contact me for your first appointment!
**Also: I have nanny and professional teaching experience in the classroom. I am available for online and in-person meetings at your home. **

Thank You,

Louis

Gentle and bright tutor

My son has math anxiety and Louis showed up at our house with a calm vibe and worked slowly through algebra with my son. He did not go too slow or too fast. When Louis left my son felt confident that he had a grasp on most concepts. Great help!

Really amazing, beyond expectations

Helped son study for high school exam and is now regular tutor. Very personable and eager to teach! My son really enjoyed working with him and had only positive things to say about their time together.

Very knowledgeable and patient tutor

During my time with Louis, he has greatly helped & supported me in pre-algebra and optical math, which also involved some trigonometry; this math was a required portion of lessons within a general Math for Opticians course that was required for me to take as part of a Optician program I am in through a online career school. Louis certainly took all the time I needed with him by spending an hour and a half with me twice a week. Even though I initially had a lack of confidence & didn't know what to expect from my own math abilities since it was years since my last math class in college, Louis taught and guided me in a very unintimidating manner and guided me by taking each concept step by step, always doing his best to take things slow enough for me to understand. I am ever so grateful for finding Louis as a tutor, as he was such a valuable resource & guide that is just what I needed to help me get through the current section of math I was on for my program, in order to move on to further courses in my optician program. Thanks so much Louis!

Fun and clear

Louis is a great teacher. He is easy to understand and my kid enjoyed working with him. He worked with her on Math for 45 min and then on Spanish. The math had 4th grade level work and beggining Algebra. He was very helpful and clear.

Tutor responded:

Thanks so much, Gili for your positive feedback. I really appreciate that and let's keep on doing engaging and fun lessons for your daughter.

Knowledgeable and patient tutor

Louis is a thoughtful tutor, who helps draw ideas out of the student to guide them in forming their own notions in order to write a creative essay. He works with patience and focus to maximize the progress needed in the time he is with the student. My son has already in one session begun to develop the outline and introductory paragraph for an essay he has to write. Before working with Louis he was stuck, not knowing how to approach it at all. Louis definitely will benefit anyone who needs the guidance.

My Son loves him!

My son has had a string of tutors and hasn't been able to feel confident about any of them. I have spent so much time and money trying to find a fit for him From School tutors and teachers to Sylvan Learning Center. Louis has been so great from him. Never before has my son looked forward to learning.
