Hi, my name is Pavel. I have been tutoring mathematics my entire life and recently I have been teaching mathematics at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. I have taught a wide range of courses from Pre-Calculus courses for freshmen, to Linear Algebra, to advanced graduate courses. Prior to Drexel, I was a teaching assistant during my graduate and post-graduate years. At that time I taught Differential equations and Applied Mathematics.

However, my interest in tutoring long predates my career in research and education. I have been tutoring mathematics since I was in middle school. And I have to say that I doI enjoy it as much today as I did then. I have been a tutor to students of all levels ranging from elementary school to college. I think that my love of teaching stems from the fact that I was a very slow learner myself and struggled with many aspects of mathematics. So I'm usually able to relate to my students' difficulties.

A little bit about me. I live in a Philadelphia suburb with my wife Jennifer and my 9-year-old daughter Isabella. In my spare time, I make educational videos four YouTube, where I have over 17,000 subscribers. Furthermore, I'm working on a robotics project with my colleagues. As time permits, I try to learn to play the piano and hope to start incorporating it into my videos soon.

Algebra 2,

Algebra 2

I enjoy teaching Algebra 2 along with other foundational subjects in mathematics. I enjoy helping students to finally grasp the most important and basics topics such as fractions, proportions, equations, plotting, and others. Once the student understands these concepts, everything else becomes easy!
SAT Math,

SAT Math

I have extensive experience in all aspects of SAT/ACT Math prep. I can help you with the right mindset and offer helpful tips that will help you improve your score. But most of all, I'll be able to help you increase your mastery of all the relevant topics in Mathematics. Competence breeds confidence - and that very much applies to the SAT/ACT tests! Really trying to understand the concepts - rather than rote repetition - is the key to improving your scores and, more importantly, having a successful college career.

Differential Equations,

Differential Equations

I have been teaching Linear Algebra and Differential Equations at Drexel University for the past 11 years. I see Differential Equations as an extension of Linear Algebra. That is why it is one of my favorite subjects to teach. It is a very structured and elegant subject which has a lot more to do with algebra than with calculus. I believe that it is much more important to be able to see the underlying structure of the subject rather than know specialized tips and tricks for solving particular problems.
Linear Algebra,

Linear Algebra

I have been teaching Linear Algebra at Drexel University for the past 11 years and it is one of my favorite subjects to teach. Depending on how Linear Algebra is taught, it can be either a beautiful and highly enjoyable subjects to study or it can be the opposite! I believe that to most of my students and YouTube viewers, Linear Algebra belongs the the former category. In either case, the subject is well worth the time investment: in this day and age, it is perhaps the most important subject in mathematics as it is very relevant to computation and analysis of data.
