I am a fifth year PhD Candidate in Philosophy. My general areas of specialization include Ethical Theory, Ethics and Economic Development, Philosophy of Technology, and 20th Century Philosophy (especially Rawls, Rorty, Dewey, Husserl, Heidegger and Foucault). However, I have a generalized introductory competence that allows me to assist students in virtually any philosophical area.

I use a Socratic method of questioning that allows students to better grapple with conceptual problems and promotes retention.

I can also offer constructive critique and assistance with writing assignments, showing students how to construct arguments, write introductions, develop paragraphs and summarize material.

In addition, I have a command of the relevant literature in a wide range of philosophical subjects and can point students to material needed to better understand topics and to more fully develop their written work.
