About Kathleen

Bio

I am a dedicated teacher who cares for her students and wants them to succeed. I have worked with elementary students for the last 13 years. I have educated students on a variety of strategies and I teach children how to use what they are taught in the real world. I have taught using the Math programs, Investigations as well as the Everyday Math. These programs are great and I like the way they spiral throughout the grades. I am a dedicated teacher who cares for her students and wants them to succeed. I have worked with elementary students for the last 13 years. I have educated students on a variety of strategies and I teach children how to use what they are taught in the real world. I have taught using the Math programs, Investigations as well as the Everyday Math. These programs are great and I like the way they spiral throughout the grades. I also teach and instill in the kids that it is very important to learn their basic facts. In reading I have use the Journey's series. Here the children, learn a variety of skills to be able to master a variety of grammar, spelling and reading tasks.

I am an ambitious professional teacher that encourages children to work hard and be the best they can be. I am committed to improving student learning. I have tutored for many years and I truly working one to one with the kids. I feel that they work better and harder for me. I teach the children the skills they will need to use in the classroom. I also teach them how to gain confidence and feel good about their accomplishments.
