I have always enjoyed reading. My favorite subjects are: Non-Fiction, and anything to do with history. I began teaching when attending Willaim Woods University. I taught both in class and in the riding arena. My major was Equestrian Science (horses) and my minors were; History, English, and Education. After I received my degree, I got my Missouri teaching degree. I worked at three different school districts as a substitute teacher. I also helped as a teacher’s assistant to my daughters' teachers while they were in grade school.

I started working for the Department of Corrections in April of 2008. I was very shy and sheepish growing up, so this environment truly frightened me. After about a year working at the Correctional Facility (mens prison), I came out of my shell and excelled at my job. I worked there for almost 14 years promoting from a correctional officer to a case manager. I am now ready to do something that will give me extra time helping students achieve their highest potential they have.
