Bio

As I begin to wind down my law practice of more than 30 years, I have decided to pursue other activities. About 1 year ago, I became certified as a volunteer tutor in Lake County, Illinois. Since then, I have worked as a math tutor in a classroom and as a reading tutor for an adult who suffered a stroke.

During my years as a student at Cornell University and University of Chicago, I learned the joy, as well as the value, of education. In my tutoring, I similarly try to convey the joy, as well as the value, of learning to my students. As an attorney, I was sensitive to the complexity of legal issues, and explaining those issues in as simple a manner as possible to achieve “client education” I believe was one of my best qualities as a lawyer. Every student is unique, and I try to customize my tutoring to the particular needs of the student.

I am currently a reading tutor for an adult who suffered a stroke. As an attorney, I honed my reading and writing skills for over 30 years; I look forward to teaching these skills to students.

I have been a practicing attorney for more than 30 years, My performance on standardized tests (including the LSAT) helped me to be accepted for admission by Cornell University and University of Chicago Law School.

I majored in Political Science at Cornell University, and I took many Political Science and History classes in college. I continue to read about Political Science and History topics, which are 2 of my principal areas of interest today.

I charge $60 per hour for both in-person and on-line tutoring. I offer a 30 minute free consultation session before the first lesson. I also offer lesson packages at a discount. I enjoy working with people of all ages and backgrounds.

I look forward to hearing from you and helping you achieve your learning objectives.

I majored in Political Science at Cornell University. I graduated with a B.A. degree Cum Laude, writing my senior thesis on issues relating to voter turnout. Since college, I have maintained a strong interest in Political Science issues. Currently, I look at 6 websites every day, reading various articles concerning topics in this year's election.

LSAT Lifesaver

Gary was an immense help in so many ways along my LSAT journey. Not only was his approach catered to my needs, but he also greatly helped alleviate the stress surrounding the test. He was able to understand just how my brain worked, and made sure to alter his teaching style in order to best suit me. I'd recommend him to anybody, regardless of what stage they are in their studies!

Knowledgeable, Patient, Impeccable

Gary has been tutoring me for a few weeks now and he is simply the best. I felt so lost, unorganized in thought and overall hopeless with my LSAT before I met Gary. You could not ask for a better teacher/ attorney. My total role model.
