I had my first lesson today with Rosario and it was a great experience...I want a tutor that speaks the language to me while teaching me new words and structures. She speaks very clear and at a speed that’s not overly slowed down but slow enough I can tell where the words start and end. I myself can’t speak a whole lot of Spanish yet, but I seem to understand more when reading and listening...I just need help filling in the gaps so I can put my own words into speech. She uses words that you have studied..structure you’ve seen in classes but put to use in real life situations. She had course materials for me that we worked on together and structured the lesson around me. She gave me suggestions and things to work on...corrected my pronunciation and gave me some very helpful tips that I’ve never seen in text books before. Very friendly and makes you feel like you’ve been friends forever. I was very comfortable with her and after the first 5 minutes I knew that she was the only tutor I would be using for future lessons! My only regret is that I didn’t schedule for a 2 hour class. I’ve taken Spanish in high school like just about everyone, but never really learned conversation. The last 8 months I’ve been studying using online videos on YouTube, books I’ve purchased, etc. Listening to Rosario speak I understood 98% of it, and the words she used that I had never heard she must of seen it on my face because she would stop and write the word out, ask me if I knew it, and then explain it...very helpful and exactly what I needed! Don’t hesitate book now you will see for your self. Thanks again Rosario!!!
