Hi. I have been teaching various English classes for over 20 years. I love teaching. I love sharing my knowledge with students. Being in front of my students energizes me so that I can instill the love of writing and the written word into my students. When I am tutoring, I enjoy planning papers and projects with my students. We talk over the assignments and requirements and begin the work of drafting a paper or project. When my students already have the paper or project completed, we look over the paper together, knowing we have just started. As we progress, we discuss additional points that can be brought into the. paper, and we proofread and edit what has already been written.

This is the student's project so she or he is always in control: does the student agree with my suggestions or in what ways can we add or change what already exists in the paper or project? I love seeing the light bulb going off in my student's head, and I appreciate the progress the student makes as we continue our studies and work together. Witnessing the student's success is what I love most about teaching and tutoring.

I have been teaching English classes for over 20 years. These classes include Basic Grammar, Freshmen Rhetoric, Linguistics, Critical Thinking, Fundamentals of Liberal Art, Classical Literature and American and British Literature as well as independent studies for individual students. I ran a Writing Center for one of the universities I worked at and tutored individual students. I developed a work shop for students who had problems passing a Writing Proficiency Examination, proving they could, in fact, write. I also monitored the ACT for one of the universities.

Along with these classes, I have taught and tutored English as a Second Language. My ESL students have come from various locations on the globe.
