I have a BFA from NYU Tisch's Film and TV program, with a focus in directing. While in school, I took screenwriting courses and produced award-winning student films including I Am in Your Bed, directed by Tsubasa Matsumoto, and the Student Academy Award winning Opera of Cruelty, directed by Max R.A. Fedore. I am currently an adjunct professor at Tisch as a Production Advisor for intermediate students (juniors). I have worked in production as a writer/director, producer, and costume designer in commercials, features, short films, and web series. I've written several pilots and screenplays. I have 7 years of production experience and 2 years of teaching/tutoring. Through production work, as well as in my personal life, I've met so many people with different cultural backgrounds. These interactions have fueled my understanding of the world and have continually reinforced my commitment to champion and support diverse creatives.

My teaching experience has been online and one-on-one. I lead with patience and understanding. I structure my classes based on each student's immediate needs, blindspots, and short and long-term goals. I adjust my teaching methods to cater to each student's unique learning style to help them better synthesize what they learn. I provide visual aids while teaching to make classes fun and keep students engaged. Additionally, I give weekly homework that reinforces what was taught during the lesson but also enriches students' understanding in a more holistic way. For example, for screenwriting and filmmaking classes, I often assign films that exemplify what was covered in that week's lesson. I've only taught adults, so far, but am excited to work with students of all ages who are eager to improve their skills. I want to provide students with the comfort, confidence, and excitement to complete their creative goals. Whatever you want to learn, you don't have to do it alone!
