Hello, I'm Marie! I attended the University of Notre Dame, where I studied literature, philosophy, and theology in the Program of Liberal Studies and received a Master's of Education specializing in secondary English Language Arts. Currently, I am a first year law student at the University of Alabama School of Law. Prior to law school, I worked for several years as a graduate and undergraduate writing tutor at Notre Dame's Writing Center, and I have also worked for several years as a 6th-8th grade writing teacher. This combination makes me uniquely suited to help every writer along every stage of the writing process.

In addition to providing English subject tutoring, I specialize in editing and revising application essays for high schools, colleges, medical schools, law schools, and graduate schools. I am familiar with the application processes and requirements for all of these competitive programs, and have helped several students get into the schools of their dreams. In addition to helping students receive the acceptances they've worked hard for, I also cherish the chance to help students find the best way to share their stories and life experiences with an admissions committee.

I am also a certified teacher, so I know research-based teaching practices that can help me reach any learner. I have experience working with many different types of learners, including those with learning disorders and students at all levels of ESL proficiency.

I am open to feedback and quick to respond, and I look forward to working with you! Feel free to contact me with any additional questions or to schedule a lesson!
