Hi there! I'm Rose, born and raised in LA. I graduated from Parsons The New School for design with an Integrated Design major focusing on Communication Design and a Fashion Communication minor. I am a visual learner and always carry a curious mindset with me everywhere I go. I have much gratitude for the tutors and mentors who took the time to help me in great detail when I was struggling with a certain subject in school. I always hope to do the same for those learning under my care. Teaching in itself is an art form requiring a creative thought process of how to keep students engaged and eager to learn. My approach is to first listen to students' needs and wants then personalize a lesson plan that will best fit each of their study methods and goals.

I focus on English and Art in one-on-one sessions as well as pairs. I teach beginner to intermediate Korean to non-Korean speakers. I helped my mother run her child care business for almost half of my life, teaching and caring for young toddlers. I volunteered for youth service in my church gatherings and in hospitals with an artist organization. I also have experience teaching high school students at a local Art prep center!
While I mostly am experienced with children, I am looking to work with adults (18+) to make learning a new language fun, as it should be! My goal is to always make sure students feel comfortable with me as I have found learning goes smoother when mutual trust is established. I am all about genuine conversations and creative thinking!
