I'm Jared, a musician and pastor who would love to help you tell your story through music, public speaking, or writing. Whether unraveling the nuances of harmonies, or crafting an engaging speech or short story, I have an astute ear for what sounds good and the experience to help you make it happen. I also have a deep appreciation for the Bible and love to use my ministry experience to help others understand what God is saying to us!

Whether unraveling the nuances of harmonies, or crafting an engaging speech or short story, I have an astute ear for what sounds good and the experience to help you make it happen. I also have a deep appreciation for the Bible and love to use my ministry experience to help others understand what God is saying to us!
I've been married for 21 years to the most incredible woman on planet earth, Mary Beth, and we currently live in East Tennessee, leading a small house-church network and caring for Mary Beth's mother.
You’ll find that I'm super easy-going and will make you feel comfortable so your creativity can flourish and you can ask questions without feeling awkward. My wife (who is extremely talented and shares similar passions) is also happy to jump into a session so she can give another perspective. (How about that...Two for the price of one!)
I grew up in Bakersfield, CA, but moved to Nashville, TN to attend Middle Tennessee State University, where I received a B.A. in Recording Industry, with an emphasis in Production and Technology and a minor in Music Industry. Shortly after that, I began working for EMI (now Capitol Records) with the creatives there (A&R, producers, songwriters, etc.). After some time, I realized that my passions were more aligned with church-based ministry, so I went to Seminary and become a pastor back in my hometown. I began as a young-adults pastor and later became a worship pastor--both of these positions being at very large churches (RiverLakes Church in Bakersfield and Cornerstone Church in Simi Valley). After about nine years in ministry, I was commissioned by those churches to begin a house-church network (now called Local Church Fellowship) in which I am still involved as a pastor and teacher.
My wife and I also love to write and record music under the artist name, the Boasting Weak. (I engineered and produced our four albums.)
