Hello! My name is Karen. I adore speaking in a foreign language and I will be very patient with your efforts to express yourself in French. In my experience, making an effort to speak without shying away from mistakes is the only way to learn French! So don't be shy! Contact me!

I should also tell you I have a B.A. in Urban Studies from Bryn Mawr College and a B.A. In French Language and Literature from Buffalo State College. During study abroad, I studied for 9 months at the University of...

I should also tell you I have a B.A. in Urban Studies from Bryn Mawr College and a B.A. In French Language and Literature from Buffalo State College. During study abroad, I studied for 9 months at the University of Quebec at Chicoutimi.

Chicoutimi is a beautiful little city 2 hours north of Quebec City. It gets LOTS of snow that stays white all winter long because the temperature doesn't rise above freezing until Spring! It is 99% francophone! Additionally, I spent much of my time there with francophone international students from Senegal, France, Ivory Coast, Cambodia, etc. While I I took advanced level classes at the French Language School there, I also earned an A in International Economics, a class I took in French, alongside Québecois students.

I am happy to share my love of language with you and help you along your language learning journey!

Very Good Teacher

Karen is a very good teacher. She seems naturally talented at it. I learned a lot in just the first lesson.
