I am a professor teaching first-year writing, humanities, history and philosophy at a prestigious, private university. I have over 15 years' experience working with college-level students. About half of my teaching responsibilities are in a first-year writing seminar. I have advanced degrees in history (M.A) and philosophy (PhD). I am very patient, kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. Having taught first-year writing for over 15 years, I am abundantly capable to assist students with writing skills, communication skills, reading comprehension, study skills, and any work related to language arts, composition, liberal arts and history.

I have been teaching for over fifteen years. Most of my teaching is with college undergraduates, though I have also taught high school and middle school students. I offer tutoring for college, high school, and middle school level students seeking to improve their writing skills or their results in many liberal arts areas. I can assist with reading comprehension and reading skills, writing and communication skills, vocabulary, and study skills. I am particularly familiar with topics in history, philosophy, religion, literature, culture and languages. I am familiar with both ancient and modern literature, thought and history and I can definitely help you or your student prepare for collegiate work and beyond.
