You can benefit from my four years experience as a tutor and teaching assistant. First, I worked one-on-one with students for a year as a private tutor for college students. Specifically, I tutored university students on English and political science courses by editing essays, reviewing readings, and creating study guides. Second, I have worked as a teaching assistant for three legal writing courses for law students as well as one masters-level course on policy analysis and memo writing. My approach to tutoring is to ask questions about what areas of the subject the student wants to work on, and then we work collaboratively to practice strengthening the skill that the student wants to improve.
As for my credentials, I earned a bachelor of arts (magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa) from Dedman College of Humanities and Sciences at Southern Methodist University. Next, I earned three masters degrees-Master of Public Administration, Master of Public Policy, and Master of Urban Planning-from the Sol Price School of Public Policy at the University of Southern California. Finally, I received a Juris Doctor from the SMU Dedman School of Law. I am a licensed attorney in the District of Columbia.
