I have a bachelor's degree in early childhood education and a master's in special education. I am certified to teach general education PK-3 and special education K-12. I have taught multiple grade levels for students with all different strengths and areas for growth. I am comfortable working with children and adolescents with exceptional needs and do my best to make them feel good about who they are and what they can become.

I enjoy the challenges of making learning enjoyable, meaningful and relevant to each individual student. I have worked in a traditional classroom setting, a special education resource room and most recently I have taught students virtually through the Zoom platform.

I currently teach middle school and high school students executive functioning skills to help them overcome certain challenges such as time management, procrastination, prioritization, organization and metacognition.

Getting to know each student is critical in helping them overcome specific challenges. Often, it just takes showing students a different approach to learning that they may not have been exposed to in order to overcome learning barriers.
