Bio

I began my musical career at age 8 as a cellist and quickly grew into thinking about and writing music as well. From my first explorations in MusicScore Maestro to later experience in Finale and Sibelius, I have always felt that performance, theory, and composition go hand in hand, and tailor my tutoring to a complete knowledge of music. I love helping people, and I love solving puzzles. Each student is a new experience and working through challenges and struggles together is the most...

Each student is a new experience and working through challenges and struggles together is the most gratifying and rewarding experience to me.

I have taught cello privately for over 10 years and have extensive experience in music theory and composition, holding bachelor's degrees in both. I have given theory lessons to students of all ages and currently teach-assist to Stony Brook Undergraduates in music history.

I have vast experience as a performer (performed in Carnegie Hall in NYC, the Kennedy Center in DC, Symphony Hall in Boston, and for 15 years as a quartet member, soloist, and orchestral player and leader.

I am also a commissioned composer (my works have been performed on Master's Degree recitals at the Yale School of Music) and hold degrees in Theory, Composition, and Cello Performance from Boston University, the Yale School of Music, and am pursuing a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Cello Performance at Stony Brook University.

I am more than available and working to help make ends meet while studying. I am very motivated to work and care about anyone I work with.
