Bio

After forty plus years living outside of my native Texas home, my wife Kathy and I have settled in Granbury, Texas to be closer to family and friends. I grew up in nearby Fort Worth graduating from Polytechnic High School before attending The University of Texas at Austin. I received my B.A. in 1974 in Social and Behavioral Sciences majoring in Government and minoring in History. While at U.T. Austin, I was active in campus politics, serving as president of one of the student organizations during my junior year. To help finance my education, I worked part time at the Texas State Capitol during the legislative sessions. I left my academic career for one year to work full time in a gubernatorial campaign and later as a field representative in the 1972 presidential election.

After the 1972 election, I returned to school and finished my education while working on staff for a member of the Texas House of Representatives. Upon graduation, I was hired to work on staff for several political campaigns from 1974 - 1976. They included a Congressional Race, the Dallas Mayoral campaign, a state senate campaign in a newly drawn district encompassing parts of Fort Worth and Arlington and finally a U.S. Senate race in 1976. I left the political arena for what I have jokingly called a real job and spent over 15 years in advertising and broadcast media sales. My most recent position was as the Regional Sales Director for a supplier to the multifamily housing industry for fourteen years.

I am not a Microsoft Word Expert as much as I am proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint. During my career in advertising, I found a love of motivating and educating clients and audiences with first multi-image slide presentations, (3, 6, 12 projectors) to later video editing and production. I have used PowerPoint in training presentations, and promotional efforts. I have also used video editing software to produce and entertain. I currently utilize Adobe Premier Pro, Photoshop (basic) and am learning Final Cut Pro and adobe Light Room Clas
