My name is Nuvid B. and I am passionate about education. As background, I went to one of the best Long Island high schools and became very involved in science research. My research led me to attend the University of Pennsylvania where I studied finance at Wharton and biology in the College. This dual degree was perfect for beginning my career in healthcare/consumer investment banking at Goldman Sachs. From here I worked at a women's health startup before transitioning to medical school at UPenn. I am almost a graduate, hoping to enter surgery and I believe in teaching simply so that students understand instead of memorize. I bring in skills from some of my best educators and mentors and hope to share them with you.
I have tutored 3 students to a perfect score on their SAT math and I simply enjoy math. I'm happy to distill complex topics into tricks I've picked up.
Science is still a rigorous part of my life and I have my own schematics and questions that really drill down convoluted scientific principles.
I have perfect scores on every "reading" section on every standardized exam I've taken. When applying to med school, I was told that the reading sections are sometimes the most important...because they tell you how much a student can critically think instead of memorize. There are some key skills here that can boost your scores significantly.
I personally scored in the 99th percentile on my MCAT and have mentored other students on their medical school applications. Similarly, I have coached 2 students on their college applications and both have attended Harvard.
Overall, I am genuinely interested in helping students achieve their own personal dreams and goals. I would love be part of shaping that future.
