Because each student is unique, I tailor my style to their specific needs by employing student-specific insights and strategies. I speak to what matters to my students and build on their natural abilities, focusing on areas where we can achieve tangible results. Whether a student is intellectually gifted or requires specialized instruction, I always proceed at a pace and in a style that instills confidence and delivers results.

My students like me, but they understand that I hold them to a high standard. Every assignment I provide has a specific purpose. As part of my curriculum, I assign regular practice tests to provide real-time feedback on progress and identify areas for improvement.

As for my background, I have master's degrees in psychology and statistics. And because it's popular to share here, I scored 36 on the ACT and 1590 on the SAT. I received my last 4 star review in 2016, before making the transition to professional tutor.

I have been in academia for 10 years, and I've been accepted to two competitive Master's programs. I'm available to help students with admissions essay writing. With each student, I go through a 5-Step essay development process: Step 1: We discuss the type of college you are applying to. We then scout the various college websites for keywords that the admissions people drop when they discuss their ideal applicants. Step 2: We discuss how you will be an asset to the colleges you are choosing. Aside from your academic interests we explore your character, spirit and personality. Step 3: We write your essay. Getting the important points on paper that we discussed in Step 2 is actually the easiest part. Because I'm aware how important it is for your application to be as competitive as possible, I give you the option of allowing me to help you with writing style and mechanics. This is completely up to you. Step 4: We end for the day, and I call in a few favors from some Ph.D. friends of mine who have been on admissions committees. They take a couple minutes to read your essay and present me with their opinions. Step 5: Based on the professional opinions that I've sought out (and after sleeping over the essay we wrote), we edit the essay to make it as communicative and impactful as possible. Overall, this is a 3 to 4 hour process.
