I love teaching! My career goal is to become a professor at a university after I complete my PhD in psychology from Liberty University. I am currently a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Idaho and focus my work on kids, adolescents, and families.
As a counselor, I work specifically with kids who have been diagnosed with ADHD and provide therapy through a behavioral approach. Based on my licensure and experience, I am qualified to work with those that have ADHD or are suspected to have. I spent a a little under a year working with students that had learning disabilities and dyslexia. I was trained to work with this population and thrived as a tutor for these students.
I strive to help students and meet them at whatever skill level they may be at. I have been a counselor for about 1 year and a tutor for over 6, specializing in working with students with learning disabilities and ADHD along with assisting in ACT/SAT preparation. I have excelled in learning and facilitating in the following subjects: college psychology, college and high school statistics, Algebra, SAT/ACT preparation, and writing at all levels. My passion is in teaching and my creativity as an educator and counselor is what sets me apart as an individual.
