Howdy I'm Erik. I'm a NC State University mechanical engineering graduate. I have always enjoyed math and science growing up which is quite peculiar since most people abhor math. However this has moved me to share my perspective on math and help others learn and get through some tough math topics.

I have tutored for 1 year professionally at Guilford Technical Community College and I have also tutored privately. Ranging from math topics in pre-algebra, all the way up to Calculus 3, as well as some college level physics. I have tutored middle school, high school, and college students ranging from 18 and 44 years of age, which has taught me to be versatile to connect and reach each students individual needs.

My primary goal is to first understand the needs of the student and develop a plan to reach those needs. Whether they love math like me or are just trying to get through it, every student can succeed and enjoy the time spent learning with the proper guidance.
Math can be very intimidating and many students get very stressed and anxious about it. My hope is that with my guidance, not only will they be able to score well on their math tests, but also reduce the scary math into something they are confident in and know they can conquer.

Physics 1 and 2 are my forte. I have taken various mechanical engineering courses which deal a great amount with physics concepts, however I have only ever tutored entry level college physics courses. That being said, those courses can sometimes be the hardest for many to get through, and I'm confident in my ability to help students do their best in them.

This is about you, the student, more than it is about me. I'm always willing to do my best to tutor you so that you can then do your best on your assignments and exams.
