I currently hold a Bachelor’s degree in Music performance and currently working on a Masters in Music Education at ASU as well as working on a Masters Degree in Music Arts at Liberty University. I have a total of 6 years of teaching in public schools under my belt with a list of accomplishments to match, but the most important of those accomplishments is having 100% of my band seniors receive college band/music scholarships yearly.

I have taught band at Maxwell Air Force Base Middle School (while attending ASU) and Tyner Academy in Chattanooga, TN where I served as Director of Bands. Some of my career accomplishments include having the Tyner Band perform for the Mayor of Chattanooga as well as competing in the Central Alabama Marching Band Festival finishing 2nd place in class A, Finishing 2nd place in the National Super Band Bowl in class A, as well as a host of state level performances in Tennessee and Alabama.

While at ASU, I was a member of the “Mighty Marching Hornet” Band, the ASU Wind Ensemble, symphonic band, jazz ensemble, percussion ensemble and trumpet ensemble. I was also a part of the Student Alabama Education Association (SAEA) on campus as well as Collegiate Alabama Music Educators Association (AMEA) where I served as chapter president. I still hold membership in these professional organizations.

I specialize in teaching:

*Beginner, intermediate, and advance brass players.
*Beginner and intermediate woodwind and percussion players.

Other areas of instruction include, but limited to:
*Sight Reading
*Music Theory
*Music Fundamentals
*Ear Training
*Music Arranging/Composition
*Honor Band/Scholarship Audition Prep
*Basic Piano

Sight Singing,

Sight Singing

Sight singing is a skill that I utilize in all of my band classes. If a student doesn't not know what pitch sounds like, there is no way they'll remember how the not is supposed to sound on an instrument. To receive a degree in music, one must take and pass 4 years of aural skills and sight singing which I have taken and passed. Currently working on a Masters in Music Education at ASU as well as working on a Masters Degree.
Trumpet

Trumpet

I currently hold a degree in music performance with an emphasis in trumpet performance. To obtain this degree, I was required to do two recitals, the first being my junior recital which was a 30 minute solo performance, and the second being my senior recital which was an hour solo performance. I have also spent the last 10 years playing trumpet in a host of different music ensembles solidifying my skills as a trumpet player.
