After obtaining my Masters in Arts of Teaching I became certified to teach Life, Earth and Space Science, Chemistry, and Physical Science. I was not however able to find a classroom teaching job in my subject with a commute I would tolerate. Looking for something to bridge that gap while I continued job searching, I qualified to be trained on the job as a Medical Technologist, working in a hospital lab setting. I really enjoy my job and career in healthcare and plan to stay on this path...
I really enjoy my job and career in healthcare and plan to stay on this path indefinitely.
But I would still like to utilize my education training to help others build confidence and succeed in a one on one setting. I have helped coworkers going back to school, my own children, and other school age relatives enough to feel confident that I can help students who have become overwhelmed in Science. If your child is struggling with understanding the big picture of Ecology, Evolution, or Genetics, I can help. Perhaps Chemistry is posing problems. I am very comfortable working with Dimensional Analysis, Moles and Molarity, as well as periodic trends and bonding principles, Electron theory and notation. Contact me if interested.
I have a Bachelors in Biology with a minor in Physical Science, and a Masters degree in teaching. I am certified by the state of Arkansas to teach 7-12th grade Earth and Space Science, Physical Science, Life Science and Chemistry.
Lessons are by appointment only. Contact me with any questions and thanks for your consideration!
