Hey, everyone! My name is Andrea and I recently graduated from Wake Forest University with a B.S. in mathematical business and a minor in statistics. I have been peer tutoring since my junior year of high school in both volunteer and paid positions. In my instruction I hope to guide students through developing a contextual relationship with material, intending that they will grow capable of forming these connections themselves. I want to create an environment that motivates students to develop a true passion for learning. As a varsity cheerleader at my college I learned to create a fun, encouraging learning environment.

Being homeschooled until 4th grade allowed me to develop strong foundational math skills. My older sister was also homeschooled with me, but she always struggled with math. Being so close to her helped me to learn early on that many young people, and young women especially, are instantly disadvantaged in math just because they are not confident in themselves. I want to show you or your student that you ARE capable of things that might seem intimidating at first! I am proficient in all maths through Calculus I and have experience working with students from elementary to college level.
