Hello,
I received my associate's degree in police science from Roane State and my B.S. degree in criminal justice from Bethel University. I have worked in the field of law enforcement for 17 years. I am a mother of three and a grandmother of seven.
My tutoring involves fun and interactive methods that make children enjoy the experience of learning. I tutor K-6 in spelling, grammer, writing, and other subjects in which they are deficient in. I feel that by incorporating games and fun activities in the process of tutoring children seem to retain more of what they learn. Children have great imaginations which can also be incorporated into this process. By using their imagination and making learning fun for reading, writing, grammer, and some artwork, I will assist them in writing their own book. Appropriate age-level educational games will also aid in my tutoring method. Children are much like adults in the learning process. The subject has to be something interesting to us or it has to be fun. I can't make a subject interesting to your child until I show them that the subject can be fun.
I look forward to helping families with the struggles of education that their children are experiencing. Some children are a little slow at catching on to some things but they can usually come back and go above and beyond anyone's expectations of them. They only need someone to tap into their preferred way of learning a subject and someone to make that experience a good one.
