Hello, my name is Ellie and I'm currently a DePaul student majoring in accounting and minoring in animation. I enjoy drawing, rock climbing, and reading in my downtime! If you have any good reads you'd like to recommend I'm always looking for new books to check out.
While I may not have much tutoring experience I have been taking my studies very seriously since starting school. In high school, I took 8 AP courses and scored seven 4s and one 5, held on to a 4.0 GPA, was a part of the honors society all 4 years, and participated in art and music courses. I believe my experience can help students who need extra guidance because I can provide academic advice as well as personal advice such as time management skills, interpersonal skills, and how to pursue your passions.
I also want to make sure that the people I teach aren't letting their academics get in the way of experiencing what life has to offer. I want to be able to teach others how to effectively learn and study so that they aren't wasting time on work when they could be exploring their passions and building connections.
While may not have formal tutoring experience, I have been able to help my friends and my younger cousins who needed help with their homework. I've helped edit essays, explain complex problems, and walk through new concepts. The skills that I've picked up the best from helping others is being able to spot where a problem has gone wrong and explain how to fix and avoid the mistake in the future.
I want to be able to help students since I know the position that schools put students in is stressful. I know a little help can go a long way in building confidence and I want to be able to do that for others.
