About Michael

Bio

Experience:

Michael graduated with honors after studying theory, composition, popular music and voice as an undergraduate student at Chapman University and as a graduate student at University of California, Santa Barbara. He produces studio recordings, arranges vocals for studio recording and performance, and performs vocally.

He provides tutoring in the computer applications of Microsoft Office, Quickbooks, Finale, Digital Performer, and other similar software.

Michael's experience...

Experience:

Michael graduated with honors after studying theory, composition, popular music and voice as an undergraduate student at Chapman University and as a graduate student at University of California, Santa Barbara. He produces studio recordings, arranges vocals for studio recording and performance, and performs vocally.

He provides tutoring in the computer applications of Microsoft Office, Quickbooks, Finale, Digital Performer, and other similar software.

Michael's experience includes non-profit management, business accounting, administration, and teaching. He is the co-owner of CarlsonArts.

Currently, Michael is available to tutor students of all ages in many subjects, from music to math and English. He lives in the Dekalb, Illinois, area but is available to travel to nearby communities.

Teaching Methods:
I meet students "where they are" in their experience and interests, providing resources and tools to enhance their learning through self-motivation and building confidence. I research the best methodologies for presenting the subject matter of each lesson, and work to make sure the student's needs are met.
