I am currently an Associate Professor at a local Houston university. I have been a full-time professor since 2009. I am also an adjunct professor at another local Houston university where I teach part time. My main areas of teaching are of criminal justice,political science and public management. I have taught students at the undergraduate freshmen level all the way to graduate school.

I have a Ph.D. in Public Administration from Rutgers University and also have 2 Master's degrees- one of them from Rice University. I also attended law school for a year and published a book on my experience.

Although I may not have specific current knowledge of individual areas of study, I did go through high school like everyone else. Moreover, I do hold a Ph.D. which only 1% of the U.S. population has as well as working on a second master’s degree. I think my academic credentials speak for itself in terms of my having the requisite intelligence and competence to learn and teach.

1)American and World History- I was a History minor in college and am also a member of the National History Honor Society- I believe that the value and usefulness of history, whether it is U.S. or international history or other countries’ histories is invaluable and needs to be taken seriously. As our nation grows more multicultural and diverse, in order to create more peacefulness in society it’s a good thing to be well versed in history.
2)Geography- Geography is becoming increasingly more important as our world becomes increasingly interdependent on various nationalities and cultures.
3)Sociology- I have worked on several papers and often use sociological theories in my classes. Sociology theories are applicable in a wide variety of academic disciplines.
4)Proofreading/Editing and assistance with writing papers in English class or for college admissions/acceptance- I scored a perfect score on the GRE Writing Sample which only 4% of test takers score each year. I also was first published when I was just 11 years old.
