Hello! I'm Sarah. Thank you for checking out my profile. I have a BA in Vocal Performance and have been teaching/tutoring students in Voice, Piano, Music Theory, and ESL since I graduated college in 2015.
After college, I moved to China where I worked as an ESL tutor for children from a local orphanage. This experience planted the seed of my passion for tutoring in ESL! I had the opportunity to work as an ESL tutor again in 2019 and 2020 via the VIPKid platform where I received my TESOL-VIPKID certification.
I have also worked as a music teacher with students whose ages ranged from 7-18 years old. With my vocal students, I primarily focus on Ear Training, Sight Reading, and Singing. With my piano students, I primarily focus on Sight Reading, Music Theory, and Performance.
Something that is very important to me is the consideration of my student's goals. I will start our first lesson by evaluating your short term and long term goals so that I can structure our lessons with these goals in mind. I strive to always encourage my students by providing a fun and safe environment for you to achieve all of your educational goals! Let's learn together!
