Colleen is highly effective, reliable, and empathetic.

Our 10 year old son who has ADHD was really struggling with writing and falling below grade level. Colleen worked closely to encourage him and give him concrete advice to improve his writing, as well as personalize the lessons based on his interests. Over a period of 2-3 months working with Colleen he really turned things around. We credit this to his work with Colleen. His teacher even commented that it was a huge improvement! We highly recommend Colleen as a writing (and general) tutor.

Great Tutor

Colleen is extremely professional, competent and patient. She took the time to understand my son's need and adjusted tutoring to meet his specific needs. My son loves her. Apart from the regular teaching hours, he always wants to spend extra time with her to play different games. Her teaching abilities and directions made my son confident in maths and also developed his writing skills significantly. I highly recommend Colleen and will use her as a tutor again in the future.

Very helpful tutor

Ms. C. has been tutoring my two children (6 y.o. boy and 4 y.o. girl) since last summer. My kids love her and follow her lessons every time. My 6 year old's reading skill has improved tremendously. In the beginning he barely read a word, but now he can read a short story. My daughter is starting to learn phonics and she enjoys learning from Ms. C. She begins to get interested in books and likes to imitate how Ms. C reads a story to her. I truly thank Ms. C for teaching my children. In addition, Ms. C is very responsible, always on time, and really concerned about her students to do well. She is not only teaching my children English, but also she is being a good model for our children. Each lesson, I've always been satisfied and rated 5 stars. I highly recommend Ms. C that she is an excellent and hard working teacher.

Very Patient!!!

Our son was having so many difficulties making the sounds of each letter in the alphabet and remembering them. He was getting very overwhelmed in class that he was not focusing!!! We were worried he was falling very behind in class, so we were on a mission to find the right tutor. After reading a handful of profiles, Colleen was who we chose and she has been the PERFECT fit!! In the first few sessions we saw a big difference and we are at our 5th session and lets just say our son isn't only get used to the sounds of each letter, but he's actually reading 4 word sentences! We definitely will be using Colleens services for sure because she has the right approach to help our son understand and gives him the confidence to continue to wanna learn!!! Thanks so much Colleen for helping our son catch up in class.
