I'm Caleb! I am currently an incoming undergraduate at the Ivy League Brown University, and I graduated Summa Cum Laude from my high school! I have two years of experience with casual tutoring. My tutoring approach involves teaching the knowledge and applying it to the various scenarios that are tested in the classroom. I work through the thought process with students and explain to them why the critical thinking process involves certain steps or why that specific problem must be done a certain way.
I have experience tutoring my peers and other students in test prep and many other subjects besides those listed below. I enjoy tutoring because it allows me to help students advance their academic potential one course at a time. Additionally, it allows me to forge new relationships and friendships. Tutoring also brings a new perspective to learning because it allows students to learn from an individual who doesn't assume he or she is retaining or comprehending the knowledge.
I received a 35 on the Science section of the ACT, and I have excelled in science courses like AP Chemistry, AP Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, and Physics. I was top of my class in both the honors and AP versions of these courses.
I received a 35 on both the English and Reading sections of the ACT, and I have taken honors and AP English throughout all of high school.
I want the best for the students I tutor and their parents; therefore, I welcome any suggestions and resources they might offer. I have open availability, and I will always respond within a timely manner. Feel free to message me for questions or to schedule a lesson.
