I'm Seth, and I love writing code that makes robots move and navigate in the real world. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, and a minor in Computer Science. For my senior Capstone project, I lead the autonomous navigation team for my school’s Mars Rover in the University Rover Challenge. The code that I wrote rocked the autonomous navigation portion of the competition in that we advanced farther and scored higher than any of the 35 international teams. I then went on to study Electrical and Computer Engineering for my Master's degree where I performed research on landing drones autonomously on ships at sea. Since then, I have gained several years of industry experience, with roles ranging from a large aerospace company to a brand new engineering startup where I built technology from the ground up.

During my Bachelor’s degree, I worked for two years at a physics lab where I taught students 1-on-1 or in small groups to help them with homework questions and exam prep. I loved this experience, because one of my favorite things to do is to teach people and help them get excited about science and math. Not only that, I learned that I had a real skill for teaching complex topics in simple terms that both STEM and non-STEM students could easily understand. In addition to that experience, I also spent a semester tutoring 1-on-1 for a Computer Science course on Deep Learning.
