About Gary

Bio

I am retired from a County government position and am looking to assist individuals in meeting their educational goals through tutoring. I did well in school and would like to share what I have learned with others. I graduated high school as a salutatorian.

I attended Harvard College and graduated with a major in history. My graduate degree is a Master's in Public Administration from CA State University, Fullerton.

I earned a secondary teaching credential in Social Science from CA State San Bernardino in the late 1980s, but it has lapsed. I also served as a substitute teacher (grades K-12) for parts of three school years during the late 1980s.

I am able to assist students in the areas of American history and social studies, the Bible, elementary math, reading, government and politics, proofreading and spelling, study skills, and writing.

I believe I can help students improve their performance in school. I look forward to hearing from you.

I led a discussion group of interested individuals centered around DVD series by Ligonier Ministries. I just completed my second three year term as an elder in my church, the First United Reformed Church of Chino, CA.

I felt most comfortable as a student in the social sciences. My bachelor's degree is in American History. I earned a secondary teaching credential in social science from CA State University San Bernardino in the late 1980s. As I returned to work in local government, my teaching credential lapsed.

Nice and patient

Gary, helped me with phonics and reading today. He is patient and tried to share some strategies to help with my writing for work. He gave me two worksheets to help with improving spelling and structuring paragraphs and using different words in place of often used words repeatedly.
