Thoughtful, Patient French Tutor

Candace D. helped me prepare for and pass a college level French proficiency exam required while attending cooking school in France. During the several months we worked together, she proved to be one of the best instructors I’ve ever had, not only for her ability to breakdown and organize the French language in easy to learn lessons, but for her consistent patience and humor. Her 30+ years of teaching experience really made a difference for me, as she had to basically create a crash program of study for someone with very little knowledge prior to our working together. Her thoughtfulness extended right up to exam day, making sure I had everything I needed to succeed. I passed the exam, thanks to her. Candace is an outstanding tutor for French. I wish we had found her earlier in the semester. My daughter's school switched to an online format for French, which has not meshed with her learning style. Great French Tutor

My daughter was struggling in a IB Self Paced French class and very reluctant to engage in private tutoring. After 2-3 months of working with Candace, her confidence and grades dramatically improved. So much so, she has started speaking and texting in French. She is also continuing to work with Candace over the summer even though classed are not taking place.

Mrs. Candace is a knowledgeable tutor and she helped my son out with his 8th grade Latin. He was struggling with grammar and translation work towards the end of his school year. So we sought out help from Mrs. Candace and she was able to quickly bring him up to speed and he ended the year on a decent note.
