I’m Bethany! I’ve graduated with my master’s degree and am looking to share my passion of science with others. I’ve had experience working with undergraduate students teaching zoology labs and introductory biology classes. My background is in ecology with specialized knowledge in behavioral research and mammalogy. I’ve also worked on disease ecology research projects with vector-borne diseases.

Through my work as a graduate assistant I’ve had two years of experience teaching students at a college level. This experience became my favorite part of graduate school and I hope to have the opportunity to share my passion of biology with others. My teaching style has an overall goal of encouraging students to be confident in their knowledge and abilities. Science can often be an intimidating field, I aim to make it not only more enjoyable but also more accessible.

I have experience preparing for the GRE and was able to achieve a higher that average score.

I have two years of experience teaching students of multiple backgrounds at a college level. I additionally have a master’s degree with experience conducting independent research for my thesis.

For the past year and a half I have been a teacher in an outdoor classroom teaching elementary and middle school students about the natural world.
