Bio

I love sharing electrical technology using terminology and concepts already familiar to the student. Complex subjects may often be broken down into simpler, easier to understand parts or analogies. I encourage students to ask questions, because in real life, the question is the most important problem solving tool we have. No question is too simple. The simplest questions may lead to the deepest insights! I have worked with middle school, high school, and college students as well as...

I have worked with middle school, high school, and college students as well as professionals and laymen.

I have a Masters from the University of Michigan and an Electrical Engineering degree from Brigham Young University. I have 20+ years experience in integrated circuit design and analysis, specifically with analog and analog/digital hybrid technology. As such I deal with direct current (DC), alternating current (AC), audio frequency, and radio frequency (RF) applications and analysis. I am knowledgeable in semiconductor device structures such as bipolar transistors (BJT) and metal-oxide-semiconductor devices (MOS). My work also includes design of printed circuit boards, selection of electrical components, knowledge of test equipment and semiconductor processes. I have worked with the digital design basics such as boolean logic and state machine design.

All students want to succeed and I want to help them! Feel free to contact me with any additional questions or to schedule a lesson.

Patient and well explained

Covered basic Thevenins Law and Nortons Law, with basic examples and relevant real world applications in the span of an hour. Very well covered, and gave extra homework to understand material better.

Knowledgeable and prepared

Kenneth did a great job of trying to understand my inquiry in advance of our meeting and delivered a well-prepared lesson. He was able to help direct my self study and share his knowledge of electronics.

Stephen, 7 lessons with Kenneth

excellent teacher

Not only did we go over the problems. He gave me insight on my potential career future that I would not have gotten inside the walls of a classroom.

great teacher!!

Kenneth went through all the concepts with me with great clarity. I have learned so much with him over the past few lessons.

Knowledgeable and patient Tutor

Kenneth taught me about integral and derivative response. He is a very knowledgeable tutor and I recommend him to anyone. His knowledge is very broad and he can help with many subjects.

Excellent teacher

Kenneth is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and helpful. I am learning schematics and needed someone who could understand and explain the basics in order to assist me in developing a complicated diy project. Kenneth was just what I needed!

Eric, 2 lessons with Kenneth

Strong Knowledge in the electronics area

We worked on determining how various types of ADC's are structured. We reviewed resolution and various kinds of errors that can result from digitizing signals. We discussed what are the steps that can be taken to decrease the effects of ADC errors.

So grateful!

Kenneth C. helped me fill in the knowledge gaps in analog circuits. His responsiveness, understanding, and hours of tireless work (within and outside of meeting time, including discounts) were keys to delivering my assignments and final project on time. I got the impression our interaction moved from tutor-student to friendship. Thanks a bunch, Ken!

very helpful at addressing any confusion

We walked through my completed work and cleared up any confusion. As well as suggesting more efficient ways to solve problems

Literally the G.O.A.T. (Greatest Of All Time)

I had a graduate level project for my Analog VLSI class that I needed help/guidance with. Mr. Kenneth took time out his day to draw schematics in order to clearly explain how to bias my circuit for my project. He is extremely kind, energetic, and eager to teach (and learn from who he's teaching). I cannot thank him enough. If you need help, he's definitely the guy to talk to!
