Marcus: Science Tutor and Educator
I am a passionate and experienced science tutor and educator with a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record of success. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Sciences from Oklahoma State University, and I have over 15 years of experience in Science background and 3 years teaching High School students.

In my professional laboratory setting, I was able to be one of the lead developers/inventors on 2 patents for environmental cleanup of oil and other harmful waste. After 15 years in the laboratory setting, I switched to teaching at a Catholic High School.

I taught AP Chemistry, Chemistry, Biology, Life Sciences, Ecology, and Botany for regular instruction and test prep. I realized as I was teaching how some of the students were having trouble understanding the lessons due to their knowledge of the material that the basis was lacking, developing different teaching methods on how to reach the students and push them to excel and succeed. My goal was to prepare each student for college and give them a better understanding to continue on to higher education. This idea that I needed to help each student succeed, means that I needed to work on teaching them more than just the subjects. The students needed to learn good work/study habits, time management, and skills to process the materials. I started tutoring students after school who needed help in my classes, history, government, social sciences, and lower mathematics.

I am a patient and supportive tutor who is committed to helping my students succeed. I believe that everyone has the potential to learn and thrive, and I am dedicated to finding the best teaching approach for each individual student.
