I have many years of experience in undergraduate accounting and business education, including all accounting courses such as Principles of Accounting, Intermediate and Advanced Financial Accounting, and Cost Accounting. I also have experience in accounting and financial management, in both private sector (for-profit) accounting and also governmental accounting, which enables me to relate academic coursework to real world situations.

My academic credentials: BBA in Marketing from University of Mississippi, BS in Accounting from Mississippi State University - Meridian, MBA from Mississippi State University, MPA (Master of Professional Accountancy) from Mississippi State University.

I am currently licensed as a CPA in Texas.

My teaching experience includes positions at the University of Texas at Tyler, East Texas Baptist University, Mississippi State University, Mississippi State University - Meridian, University of West Alabama and East Mississippi Community College. Subjects taught include every undergraduate accounting course, plus Principles of Management, Human Resources Management, Organizational Behavior, and other general business courses.

I like to take existing knowledge and experiences in the student's life that can be related to the subject of the course, and show them how that experience could be expressed or translated to accounting terms and concepts so that the student gains a true understanding of the topic, and can then use that understanding to complete the academic course and also apply that understanding to the student's future career work.

My wife is an artist and considers accounting to be an alien monster from another planet, but with my tutoring help, she earned a B+ in her college accounting courses. Likewise, I can help you understand accounting, whether you are an accounting major or not, and help you demonstrate that knowledge in your accounting classes and earn those good grades.
