Hi! My name is Cindy and I am a 23-year, proven career veteran in public education. Throughout my career, I have taught numerous subjects, but for the last 15 years have found my niche in math. I have led hundreds of students to become successful in math and to develop a deeper understanding of the subject through both my daily teaching and extensive personal tutoring. Over the last 15 years, in my capacity as an Algebra 1 teacher, I have had a 95% passing rate on the Algebra 1 End of Course Exam (EOC), required by the state of Missouri. I am excited to announce that I will be completing my Master's in Mathematics Education in May 2024.

I have a very laid back teaching style. While I have high expectations for my student's academic performance, I prefer to use a light-hearted approach. Making connections with students and developing a professional rapport with them has always been a driving point of my career. I use examples of complicated problems, taking care to break down the steps and explain not only the process but the reasoning behind the process, which allows students a deeper understanding. While every student learns differently, my ability to differentiate to all levels allows students to become more comfortable in the subject and to take ownership of their success.

Communication is key with me and is a vital part of the tutoring process. I want to help as many students as I am able and welcome any feedback or suggestions from both students and parents. I look forward to meeting you!
