About Kristi

Bio

I spent 4 years teaching English classes at a local Community College and also at a Calif. University. After finishing my certification, I taught multiple grade levels for 10 years (K-12). Later, I became the Administrator of a private school, and was a substitute teacher when needed. I love all levels of teaching especially : English, Grammar, Writing, Literature, and Reading. I am retired now and enjoy the flexibility of tutoring!

I understand the challenges of learning the English language! Often our grammar rules seem random, but with a few "tricks," writing can be a fun creation rather than a tedious exercise. The whole point of writing is communicating what we want the reader to know, understand, or feel!

I have been playing the flute for over 50 years. I play with our College Orchestra, and I enjoy playing for my church, as well. Learning the flute isn't easy, but it is so much fun when you can play!

I would love to help you! Let me know what your thoughts and challenges are in writing (or learning to play the flute!). If you are struggling to understand literature, or if you are trying to write a novel, I can help you!

Quick turnaround

Kristi proofread my paper and I got it back the next day. The turnaround time was very quick. She took a picture of the first page of proofreading my paper before proceeding to see if it was to my standards.

Appreciates my style

Kristi has edited my document without changing or trying to modify my "style". She has been very keen on letting my words speak for themselves and I appreciate that.
