I have been an elementary school teacher for over 20 years. I have taught grades 2, 3, 4 and 5. I am currently working as an instructional coach in my district to help teachers use the most effective strategies with their students. I am patient and kind. No matter how hard the subject matter is for your child, I will work until he/she understands the material. I will not give up.
I personally have two children. One has been in gifted and honors programs her entire life and the other has struggled in school and has been in special ed and remedial classes. I understand both ends of the spectrum!

I struggled with math as a kid. Numbers never quite made sense to me. It wasn't until I became a teacher that I started to have to explain math to students. I understand how difficult concepts can be, so I worked hard to explain things in a way that my students could understand. Now I love math, I love teaching math and I love how excited my students get when they finally "get" a concept that they have been working on!

I loved learning Spanish. It was not my first, or second language. I grew up bilingual in an Italian-American household. When I started learning Spanish in high school, I fell in love with the language, the cultures and people of Latin America. I am now married and Spanish is our household language. I feel comfortable tutoring Spanish at all levels.

I have always been naturally good at reading, writing and grammar. I have taught elementary school writing using several different approaches and curricula. I can help with proofreading, organization, voice, grammar, ide`as and conventions and word choice. Writing should be a fun and rewarding experience for students. I work hard for students to be proud of their writing pieces
