Reggie is a native of Leakesville, Mississippi. After graduating high school, he attended Jones County Junior College (JCJC) where he was an honor and band scholar. He received his Associates Degree in General Studies. After graduating from JCJC, he attended USM, and he became a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated, MU XI chapter and various campus organizations: AASO, NAACP, RHO GAMMA, and IFC. He majored in English with a minor in Psychology.

Later, he attended William Carey University and received his Masters of Education in Educational Leadership. After graduating from William Carey University, he began his doctorate degree program at USM in Higher Education Administration with a minor in Adult Education.
He was a graduate assistant for two years in Student Support Services. Currently, he is an English instructor, advisor for Business students, and in-training Department Chair in General Education at Antonelli College, where he has been employed for 7 years.
