Douglas has been an aspiring artist since his childhood piano recitals and church choirs in southeast Nebraska. He achieved his Bachelor of Music Degree studying at the Universities of Kansas and Utah where he was always involved with accompanying vocal students, playing trombone in jazz bands, singing in choirs and performing in theatrical productions.

He has since been continuously teaching piano and vocal students while also accompanying numerous high school choirs and shows. His work as a music director include shows like "Spring Awakening" and "Grease", as well as Holland America Cruise Lines Productions, and corporate event entertainment acts.
Douglas is very personable and students enjoy their time together while adapting a lesson plan in achieving their personal goals.
Through his performance, piano teaching and vocal coaching, Douglas aspires to nurture the joy in spreading the universal love of music.
