The process that I use to help students maximize their potential involves customizing a program to the specific needs of each person. Many of the large tutoring businesses teach identical systems to everyone. Although there are certainly processes where following a specific procedure is helpful, in the bigger picture, I have found much greater success with adjusting the study program to fit the needs of the student.

We can meet at your home or at libraries or coffee shops - again this usually depends upon where the student finds they perform best. Hours are flexible.

Growing up as a sports fan, I always gravitated to statistics. In school and professionally, I have also had many roles where my propensity to dig into stats has been helpful. Algebra 1

For most students, algebra is the first step into 'higher math'. There are a number of new concepts and thought processes that are needed to successfully take this step. The best process here is usually and steady and consistent review of the subject matter combined with many practice problems until a solid level of comfort is reached.
Calculus,

Calculus

Calculus is another big step in the progression of a math student. Sub-topics such as derivatives, differentiation, and maximization can be very intimidating if it feels like the instructor is moving through them too quickly. Often, the opportunity to work one on one within these concepts - and talk them over until there is a real understanding - makes a huge difference.

LSAT

The LSAT is a very challenging test. It is important to realize the the creators of this test realize that many smart students will be taking this test and their goal is to sort the relatively smart from the extraordinarily smart. Thus, the lengthy test with many difficult sections. My experience has been that the the logical reasoning and logic games sections are the areas where practice results in the most improvement (reading comprehension take longer to change). In the logic areas, especially the games, there are a number of techniques that if learned and applied correctly, will dramatically change your score.

Amazing Tutor

After only one statistics lesson with Bob my daughter told me "I understand, I actually underdtand!" She's been struggling in math since last year and nothing we tried has worked. I don't know how he did it but it looks like we finally found our answer.

Fabulous Tutor

I’ve been studying for the LSAT for months and the area I needed to improve in was Logic Games. I had little understanding in that area, so I recruited Bob as my tutor. In only a months time I have improved significantly in Logic Games and completely comprehend how to accomplish individual games in rapid succession.
