My love of history started as a child living on a 7,000 acre wheat and cattle ranch in Eastern Washington. We had an Indian graveyard on our property plus an old Indian Trading Store, which had long since disappeared, but got me doing research in our county courthouse for the history of the area. My father worked as a independent contractor in Predatory Control for the Washington State Fish and Game from 1933 to 1946 plus he worked with the CCC camps in Eastern Washington and worked among the Colville Indians. His love of history and wildlife increased my interest in all things historical.

As I grew older, I got interested in the history of medicine, then Egyptology and finally World History. I finally got to be a guide up Hells Canyon and conduct the history tours on our trips. Living back east for a year (Massachusetts & New York State) increased my interest in American history immensely.

I had the opportunity to guest speak on the Plateau Indians in several Spokane middle and high schools in years past which was a real delight for me.

My schooling consisted of studying Latin in high school & German at the University of Idaho. I went on the take a two year correspondence course in Ophthalmology which lead me to work in the medical field for a number of years and also a four year correspondence course from Glen Cullen University gaining my BA in History and Archaeology.

I feel I would be an asset to any young student that is interested in history.

I was active in Civic Theater for about 15 years and also sang for many more years at rodeos, radio and civic clubs. I was fortunate to work for the local media here in Spokane at KHQ and KREM and did both radio and TV commercials for them and A
