Hello, I’m Abbey! I have been studying Spanish for 15 years and completed a Spanish minor in 2017. This included 5 months of language studies in Valparaiso, Chile. Since graduating, I have been using Spanish professionally as a case manager and immigration paralegal for 4 years. I spent one year living and working in Mexico City in 2018 at a migrant shelter. During my year in Mexico, I took private Spanish lessons to continue my own learning and volunteered as an English interpreter for classes. I recently moved back to Mexico and am hoping to share my love of Spanish with other learners.
Having studied Spanish myself, I understand the challenges of learning a new language and am eager to build students’ confidence in speaking, comprehension, and writing. I especially enjoy working on grammar and pronunciation skills! Whether you consider yourself to be at a beginner, intermediate or advanced level (and perhaps would like conversational practice), I am eager to work with you, adapting lessons to your learning style.
